Well, all I can do is laugh at myself. I wrote here two days in a row, and that’s all it took for the old daily blogging habit to kick back in. I should have known that would happen. It always happens! As I said in a post at Bonny Glen earlier this week, writing begets writing. Every time.
I often offer the old Field of Dreams saying to homeschooling parents: If you build it, they will come—where “build” means do absolutely anything you personally enjoy, be it painting or baking or carpentry or yoga—and your young children will want in on the fun. When parents model creative activity, kids are drawn like magnets.
But what I’ve realized is that the exact same truth applies to me. When it comes to creative practice, I am both of the pronouns in the movie quote.
